This month my Sister sent me a article about the first fire truck in La Honda. The truck was stored at my Fathers Standard Oil gas station. My Father was hired by the forestry service to provided summer fire season support with a volunteer crew. I can remember seeing the truck parked in the south bay of the station. When my Father sold the station, he was hired by the forestry service and stationed in Pescadero, until he retired in the late 1950's.
