Help is needed in organizing and working both the La Honda Faire on June 24-25 and the La Honda 4th of July Picnic.
"Just putting the word out that La Honda Faire & Music Festival is ON this Year!!!!
Great crafts booths, Food & Music all day 10 am-6 pm both days Sat. & Sun. June 24 & 25!
Some wonderful folks from the community Bonnie Feidler & Tom Burden, (who don't have kids in the schools), have stepped up to coordinate the faire. They got all the great history & past faire info. from Paula Dennis, our previous Faire-Maiden, and will be donating all net proceeds to LA HONDA EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION for La Honda School's Music Program, great Educational Enrichment Programs, and other areas such as teacher salaries during low enrollment years so that classes can stay small and still have the teachers paid!
We will need helpers volunteering for 3 hour shifts in numerous places Volunteers Needed for La Honda Faire and Music Festival:
LHEF Information/Food/raffle (3 hour shifts? 6 each day?) 4-6 people each day for trash duty. This could be a rotating job for maintenance. Will definitely need at least four at the close of each day and someone to transport recycling to school. 2-4 people Friday afternoon and again Sunday/evening or early Monday morning to put up and remove sign boards at strategic locations
2-4 people to help with set-up (7:30am) and take down each day as well as to guide vendors through gate -
2-4 people each day as booth sitters, & "go fers"
2-4 people to monitor parking by fire station and parking lot
2-4 people for security.
2-4 people for children's area face painting, etc. - see Karen
2-4 people - because we never have enough!
…Contact myself by email off list, or Sherri Jenkins 747-9659 and we'llget you the spot you want. This faire takes a lot of effort and the community really wanted the
faire back, so here it is...but we need community help too!
