On Sunday October 8th I went to see Cryin’ Shame at the San Gregorio General Store. Cryin’ Shame has been a local area icon for several years now. This was their second to last gig before band member Stacey Erdman left the area and moved to the Seattle area. The show was one to remember. The bands energy and joy to be playing was on display. Kevin, Dan and Stacey were at their best. Joined at times by friends Jim Salveson and Dave Barrow the vocal harmonies were just perfect. Of course the place was filled with many of their friends so the vibe was awesome throughout the show.
Stacey has had a major impact on the local music scene and of course will be missed. She promises to come back from time to time so we haven’t heard the last of her! Stacey played in so many different bands in our area that I won’t list them but her vocal talents and ability to harmonize made all those bands so much better. So best wishes to Stacey in the cold wet North and we look forward to her visits when possible.
