The Face of Local Music - Jamfest and Loma Mar Store

It seems that fall is well underway with winter on the horizon. That means the local outdoor music scene is winding down. It’s time to celebrate the local music scene and Jamfest is a chance for all the local pro and semi-pro musicians to get together at Playbowl and do some jamming and see what happens…We never make a big deal about having an audience but love having people come and enjoy the day with us. If anyone wants to set up volleyball, throw Frisbee etc, they are encouraged. So on October 12^th starting around noon come on down to Playbowl and enjoy what might be the last outdoor musical event this year. If the weather is going to be bad we will cancel the event.

 

There will be a new local music venue this winter. The Loma Mar Store will be hosting a Sunday brunch featuring great solo and duo acts in an intimate setting. Their food is awesome and the atmosphere is warm and homey. We hope to create a place where the locals from Pescadero, Loma Mar, and La Honda can socialize, listen to great music and have a great brunch. On October 13^th the first show will feature Jason Jennings and Todd Neil. They have performed as a duo at the La Honda Fair and have established themselves as a source of great vocal harmonies and excellent material. On October 20^th Dan Newitt will be featured and on the 27^th Ken Lieboff aka Campfire Ken, will be featuring his awesome one man show. The store has increased it’s hours to 8pm to accommodate dinner goers. Hope to hang out with lot’s of you at brunch!!
